Notice:
From the10th of November 25, the way that you access care from Greenbank Surgery will be changing. In line with the push from NHS England for increased on line consultations to help try and avoid the ‘8am rush’, we are now asking for patients to submit an eConsult for all appointment requests, test result information and general clinical queries. We will no longer be accepting telephone calls for these issues.
For our patients who are not able to submit eConsults, (for example if you have no internet access) you will still be able to phone the surgery, or attend in person, to speak with one of our care navigators who will submit an eConsult for you.
The aim of these changes is to try and make contacting Greenbank more convenient and improve overall access to the surgery, and not leave patients stuck in long telephone queues in the morning waiting to speak to a care navigator.
Once you submit your eConsult, the information will be reviewed by one of our GPs, and you will receive a direct reply outlining the next clinical steps. This might involve receiving advice in response to your query, or you may be offered a face to face or telephone appointment with the most appropriate clinician (which could be a GP, nurse, pharmacist, physio, mental health practitioner or paramedic, depending on the circumstances).
The new system aims to help maintain continuity of care between patients and clinicians, while also utilising technological developments to enhance patient experience.
eConsults will be available from 8am Monday to Friday
We ask for your patience while the new system is being rolled out.
